Northcare Sports Injuries & Rehabilitation Centre was established in 1991 in Salisbury, South Australia. It is the largest privately owned physiotherapy practice in South Australia.

The three managing directors and two associate directors of Northcare Physiotherapy are all practicing Physiotherapists who have between them, an extensive amount of professional and personal experience. They are dedicated to maintaining Northcare’s reputation as a leader in the field of physiotherapy.
Northcare’s Business Manager is Nick Porter who has been with the group for 9 years and is responsible for administration and business activities.

Northcare’s core business revolves around 3 areas:

• Physiotherapy services
• Physiotherapy Assessment Services
• On-site injury management

The core business of Physiotherapy is complemented by a Health and Fitness division offering the broader community access to excellent facilities and professional expertise. Northcare’s success has followed on from the key philosophy of providing a broader range of services in better equipped facilities.

We have 12 clinics & associated clinics throughout the metropolitan area, offering extended consultation hours (including weekends), so everyone now has access to a Northcare Physiotherapist.

Directors

Andrew Aish A former Norwood and State Australian Rules Footballer, Andrew graduated in 1981 and has followed his special interest in sports medicine to achieve the title of Sports Physiotherapist. Andrew was selected as one of the Northcare Physiotherapists working at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney.

Jon Porter Jon has his Masters in Manipulative Therapy and is also a Sports Physiotherapist. As part of his post graduate qualifications Jon’s research was published in Spine magazine and in 1999 he was involved in a national headache study to gauge the effectiveness of manipulative therapy in the treatment of headaches. Jon is currently Physiotherapist with the South Australian Redbacks Cricket team.

Richard Fuller Richard graduated in 1990 and is recognised as a leader in the use of Blankenship testing equipment in the areas of pre- Employment assessment and functional capacity evaluation. In his role as an industrial Physiotherapist, Richard is developing Northcare’s reputation in this field both here and interstate.

Nick Porter Nick graduated in 1980 with a B.Ed.(Phys. Ed) and then embarked on a marketing/business career firstly with The Shell Oil Co. in NSW, Qld and Victoria before returning to SA and joining Stratco. Nick completed his MBA in 1996 and joined Northcare in 1997.
